Camp @ Home Event Highlights
Photography: Shu Yen & Ashley
Videography: William & Nizam
Post-editing: William
3 Day Learning Camp for the overseas Singaporean's children. They speak in all sorts of English slang, can feel that the learning camp hosted by the Prime Minister's Office, Overseas Singaporean Unit, is very important to keep the children stay connected to Singapore.
Ideally...
Singapore is the only place that they can call home.
Wherever they are residing should, hopefully, be their second home.
It's not easy. But it's a tiny step that OSU is taking to ensure that the Singaporeans who are temporarily overseas, can come back to Singapore one day, and their children have no major issues to adapt. At least, the camp builts happy memories of Singapore within the little ones.

Gangnam Viral Videos
This Children's Day parody was completed under Director William's directions. It was such an urgent job from Tickled Media because they wanted to have it ready before 1st October. This is yet another busy and exciting week to see the video going viral with many opinions about the concept of having children dancing this Gangnam parody.

Singapore Sports Council
Linking to some of the public videos done for Singapore Sports Council. Both were shot on the same day.
Team Singapore Supports Initiation
These footages were shot for another purpose. But was later asked to edit into another corporate with the focus to encourage more sportsman to join Team Singapore Supports. If only we were told earlier then could we capture more appropriate shots for the video.
Singapore National Games 2012
Singapore's ever first national games was the big hype in that first week of September. This video montage was created from a long list of about 2800+ video clips provided by Singapore Sports Council. Took a lot of pains to pick out the contents and we finally got all ready to go on the before SNG Opening Day itself.

How many cameras should I have for my concert and stage events?
Nanyang Polytechnic Sinfonia Symphony Orchestra 2012
Many clients think that it is physically possible for videographer to capture a concert with only 1 single camera. Think from the perspective of that one-and-only camera, "If I were to capture all the members at one-shot, then I will not get to see the close-up faces. If I were to capture close-up of all the members, then I will not get the wide-shot of the concert/performance. If I am greedy to want to have a mixture of both, then my camera will show a lot of jerky movements and zooming footages that is not able to edit away (unless you decided to forgo the entire audio track)."
If budget allows, have at least 2 camera for a concert.
Otherwise, get 3 cameras to have a proper coverage.
For your information, Director Will is very well-versed in music. During his schooling days (which was not very long ago), he was a student conductor who trains up his symphonic band. As we shoot for your concert, don't get worried/offended if we ever asked you for your conductor's score. It is our (or Will's) special way to ensure that we can have the camera aiming at your soloist(s) just before he/she starts performing. In other words, you have a Video Director who thinks like a music conductor at a concert, ensuring all angles are well-covered just the way a conductor wishes for it to be done.

Event Coverage turns Corporate Video
It's a common trend where corporate clients hires videographers to cover events and edit the footages into a form of branding video for the company. There is little need for pre-production costs and the focus is simply on the post-production. It is a cost-efficient way for companies who wish to be able to inform and promote a certain company image through these events!

Do we ask for PAL or NTSC?
International Sports Promotion Society (ISPS)
Handa Singapore Classic Golf Tournament

We are honoured to witness and shoot for the Golf tournament event from 5th to 8th April 2012. Interestingly, the client specially requested for us to shoot and deliver in NTSC Format in Tape. NTSC format used in most of America Burma, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, the Philippines, and some Pacific island nations and territories (wikipedia).
In Singapore, our equipments shoot in PAL format and our DVD players are encoded for PAL format too. By default, we output our videos in DVD-PAL format.
Should you be watching your edited video in a different country region, you need to inform us early! This will allow us to use the correct camera equipments and encode all the finalised videos correctly so that you can watch it even if you reside permanently in countries like Japan, Canada or US.
